Three Stylish Ideas For Your Indoor Playground

If you live in an area like we do in Western New York (we are in Rochester!) With beautifully warm summers and cold snowy winters, you will understand your choices for your kid's birthday party are largely determined by the weather.
As an August baby, we always had small family parties outside at my house. However, with sons born in November and March, we're constantly left to book an indoor venue for their parties, if we decided to have them that year. While those with children with summer birthdays might appear blessed to have so many options at their disposal, it can also often feel overwhelming.
While in Climbing Vines Cafe and Play we might be biased since we sponsor indoor parties, I wished to share with you the 5 most common reasons we hear out of past party customers to book indoor summer evenings with us. To them, the stress-free nature of the indoor summertime party is really a no-brainer, plus they are not looking back! Following their first indoor summer celebration , they keep hosting with us year after year.

And if you've ever had to cancel or postpone your child's birthday due to weather, you realize how heartbreaking that could be.
We receive dozens of calls each summer a few days before somebody's outdoor party is supposed to happen to see if we have an open slot for them in our indoor celebration place because of weather woes. We can usually pull this off if the place remains open, but hosts will unfortunately need to starve and allow all of their guests are aware of the change in venue and probably shift in time, and also change all their catering orders to accommodate their new party program.
While of course rain is most probably the biggest obstacle you might face, extreme heat, unseasonably cool weather, and wind may also pose problems to your decorations, food, and your guests' belongings. You will likely end up investing in a tent another weather barrier just to ease your mind a bit, which are costly and require lots of precious time to set up and take down. I will not even tell the narrative of this time my Dad set up a tent for a party in a windstorm and ended up with a insurance coverage for 4 damaged cars when it withdrew (weights and anchors and all!) ...

2) CHANGING IT UP

Aside from the obvious weather concerns you can avoid with a indoor party, there can also just be something really simple and lovely about an indoor summer celebration. Guests won't need to worry about bringing sunscreen and towels and towels and swimsuits and changes of clothes and bug spray... you understand.
Sometimes it's nice to take a brief break from the outdoors, sip coffee in an air borne cafe, also have a real conversation with other adults while the children play, instead of chasing children around attempting to receive their fur on them keeping them away from the in-ground pool. I am not sure about you, but I can never quite relax at an outdoor summer birthday party with a two and a 4 year-old. While they sure do have a fantastic time running around, we usually leave in a daze or using a tantrum, unsure if we had time to talk or check in with everyone.
While I absolutely love a good barbecue or summer grilling extravaganza, I also find it refreshing when we could take a break in the same-old backyard bash and spend a few hours at a relaxing, cool, and most significantly -- included! -- air.
It's also freeing as a guest to have the remainder of the day to do as we wish as a family and not need to worry about getting the kids into a bath right after the party or stopping home to cool off and change clothes.
I promise that in the event you reserve an indoor celebration for your child, guests (especially family) may appear a little confused at first (why not take advantage of the summer weather while we can, right?) But after hosting countless indoor parties I will tell you for sure that on the day-of, you and your visitors will realize how nice it can be to kick back within an air-conditioned private party for a few hours.

3) EATING IN PEACE

Speaking of how relaxing a indoor, air-conditioned celebration can be, can we discuss food for a moment?
So, for our loved ones, the food factor alone could be enough to warrant an indoor party.
Eating in peace without needing to find shade or a chair or a place away from pests is just one of those things you do not realize can be so magnificent before you attend your fourth or fourth outside summer gathering and after that get a break from them. One of the most common things we hear is how nice it is to sit and eat and see the kiddos play with no any other venue-related cares or concerns. This will be especially important if you are going to be having older family members attend that can struggle with being mobile in the sand or marijuana and finding seating at outside parties.
Plus, when was the last time you attended an outdoor summer party with a complete espresso bar and cafe available for visitors to enjoy now they don't need to be concerned about running around chasing their kids in the heat?

While party aesthetic might not be a determining factor for every family, it sure is significantly easier to make a themed extravaganza that lighting a youngster's face up when the party's inside. The decorations demanded tend to be less because the place is smaller and contained contained, and you won't need to be concerned about balloons and streamers blowing all about or procuring table covers .
Because we do host cellular events outside at Climbing Vines Cafe and Play, I can also speak from experience when I say the time it takes to set up (and take down!) Decorations for an outside celebration compared to an indoor celebration usually ends up being at least double. Finding good places to hang banners, requiring two people to hold and protect everything, and locating weights or other restraints for everything can be a true hassle on party day.
And you will have enough to worry about this day, right?
Also, if your pinterest planks are filled with adorable figurines, a candy bar, or anything that could possibly be affected by wind (or attract bees!) You will likely have to restrategize to get an outdoor soiree.
Not to mention decoration typically can only get used once if used outdoors, but repurposed again and again if used for an indoor event. Our guests that sponsor indoor events, especially those who invested significant money into decor or labored hard to make their very own, are very happy to find they could usually create a huge chunk of their cash back by reselling their supplies on something such as Facebook Marketplace.

Speaking of cash, probably the biggest misconception I hear from clients is that they want to host a party at their house to save the rental fee of an indoor space. I usually laugh at this because it makes perfect sense, that is, if you have never hosted an outdoor party.
With all of the"extras" such as tents, chair rentals, additional decorations, weather reinforcements, cleanup provides, 9D vr games - www.twitarcade.com - and activities for your kids (which you won't have to supply at a play area!) It is very likely you will end up spending MUCH more hosting a celebration at your house or an outside venue than you would indoors.
I'm not sure how other indoor spaces handle their supplies, but we only charge guests to get additional drinks and supplies and such on the day of the celebration should they end up needing themand we also enable parties to attract in their OWN meals, dessert, and decoration should they choose!
Money aside, spending countless hours cleaning prior to, during, and after the party can also take a toll. Wouldn't it be wonderful to walk into a sparkling clean space and depart with your guests when the party's over, not having to worry about the clean-up, trash removal, tent teardown, etc?
You can just go home and relax with your family (yes, maybe outside!)
Along with the time spent cleaning before and after the party, would not it ALSO be wonderful to not have to play"host" throughout the event? Even for clients that bring in their own food and decor, our committed celebration assistants set up everything, refill and fix food and drinks as needed, clear plates, cut and serve the cake, and then pack up all the leftovers in the end of the celebration!
In the end, it is your child's special day and you wish to spend those precious hours making memories and visiting along with your guests-- not running around chasing your decorations or refilling the fruit bowl innumerable times.
So save everyone (and especially your own family!) We would be honored to offer you an easy, breezy experience that will leave your whole guest list feeling refreshed, grateful, and full of love after having a relaxing (yet fun-filled!) day together.
